If Only Food Came in a Pill…

Posted June 24th, 2008 by Sophia

Let’s face it, figuring out what to eat when you’re on a diet can suck. When picking a meal feels like a chore, the seemingly simple act of eating quickly loses it’s appeal. Trust me, I like to eat…otherwise I wouldn’t be in this predicament in the first place. I would never wish away our sacred mealtime if it wasn’t such a pain in the rear when you have to count the number of calories you’re putting in your mouth (and the fat grams per meal).

I know, I know…I am the one restricting myself to a certain number of calories and fat grams. No one told me to do it. It’s MY choice. And, trust me, I’m not already regretting my decision to follow a specific meal plan. But, that doesn’t make the process easy. Try asking for the nutritional information in most restaurants and you get a blank stare.

And I can’t just walk into a restaurant or down the aisles of the grocery store and pick the things that sound good. That would be serious sabotage!

Unfortunately, what sounds good to me is not always going to be steamed veggies, brown rice, and grilled boneless/skinless chicken. ;-)

Am I right, ladies?
